After about 6 hours of paperwork, I finally got my own apartment! So far, I love it :). I wish I could attach photos, but haven’t been able to find the cord that connects my camera to my computer… the one thing I forgot. But trust me, it’s great!
Now that I have my place, I need to get settled in. I finally have a project to work on! Today, I went around to about 10 stores to get the best deal on air conditioning and electric ovens. While this may sound tedious, I had so much fun! I learned a bunch of new Spanish words today, and got to practice my negotiating skills. In the end, I ended up getting a deal for buying both of them together that was almost $100 cheaper than the original offer (about 4,000 guaranies less)! The only thing is, they were supposed to be delivered over an hour ago. I just called and apparently they are still on their way.
Tomorrow I am planning to focus my search on sheets, a pillow, an extra mattress for friends to sleep on, and cleaning supplies. I’m so glad I finally have something to do here, even if it’s just for me. I also can’t wait to start cooking my type of food. My new landlady lives right next door, and she is about my age, maybe younger. When I have everything set up, I’m planning to invite her and her husband over for dinner.
I’m feeling so much better here now!!! Now if I could only find some business related projects to do…

Julie, I am so happy that u r so happy!! I want to talk to u on Skype but I can’t remember my code to get into Skype. I have tried all the ones that I can think of & none work. We went to Houston this past weekend for a party for Rebecca &Chris. It was at Aunt Candys. Great party, Rebecca & Chris r so cute & happy.
